Front Desk Agent (Full time / Part time)

General The Pinnacle Hotel Whistler, a unique boutique style property, is seeking for front desk agent(s) who will serve as an ambassador for the Hotel. The individual must be a multi-functional individual who is driven to always exceed our residents & guests’ expectations. - Competitive benefits and wages, starting from $16.32 per hour - Assistance with BCPNP for those who qualify.

Duties

  • Provide courteous, prompt, professional and attentive guest service up to the highest Standards whilst developing a personal rapport with the guests
  • Responsible for the registration of arriving guests and checking out departing guests
  • Check for, review and input any reservations received on the fax machine and over the telephone during your shift
  • Must possess fluent knowledge of the city and geography, keeping abreast of arts & entertainment and local trends, restaurants & tourist attractions
  • Complete all duties in an expedient fashion as assigned by the Management team

Job Requirements:

  • Self motivated, responsible, organized and task oriented
  • Ability to work flexible hours including holidays and weekends
  • Ability to work in a team environment

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to stand for an 8-hour shift

Part Time Position

Housekeeping Room Attendant

General: The Pinnacle Hotel Whistler, a unique boutique style property, is seeking for Housekeeping room attendant(s) and Houseman who will serve as an ambassador for the Hotel. The individual must be a multi-functional individual who is driven to always exceed our guests’ expectations. - Competitive benefits and wages, starting from $16.30 per hour - Assistance with BCPNP for those who qualify.

Duties

  • Clean guest rooms include: making beds and changing sheets as required, dusting, vacuuming, placing furniture to its original position
  • Clean bathroom inside the guestrooms includes: cleaning all surfaces, all sinks, taps, vanities, tubs, showers, walls, toilets and public area

Job Requirements:

  • Previous housekeeping experience
  • Able to communicate in English.
  • Have own accommodation.

Physical Demands:

  • Pulling – over 20 lbs – bending, standing, reaching and kneeling
  • Carrying & Lifting – over 20 lbs

Full Time Position

Housekeeping Houseman

General: The Pinnacle Hotel Whistler, a unique boutique style property, is seeking for Houseman(s) who will provide excellent customer service to ensure guest satisfaction, maintain a high level of cleanliness and sanitation in guest rooms, hallways and public areas, according to established Hotel Housekeeping Standards. -Competitive benefits and wages, Competitive wages and benefits. -Start immediately. -Under compensation $17.43 to $19.22 depending on experience - Assistance with BCPNP for those who qualify.

Duties

  • Clean public areas, back of the house and exterior building including outdoor swimming pool & hot tub
  • Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, upholstered furniture and occasionally ceilings and vents.
  • Wash doors, windows, walls of public areas
  • Keep work area stocked, organized and clean at all times as defined by the task list and cleaning schedules posted in the department.
  • Ensure that public areas and back of the house work areas meet the established standards of cleanliness to assure guest satisfaction.
  • Snow Removal when needed
  • Other duties may assign.

Job Requirements:

  • Previous housekeeping experiences an asset.
  • Able to communicate in English.
  • Maintains a flexible schedule to accommodate operational needs of a hotel environment (including week-ends, holidays and overnight shifts as required
  • Must have own accommodation.

  • Lifting – under 30 lbs, Carrying – over 30 lbs

Maintenance Shift Person

The individual must be a multi-functional individual who is driven to always exceed our guests’ expectations. Full time - Tuesday to Sunday, 8am to 4pm. - Competitive benefits and wages, - Assistance with BCPNP for those who qualify.

Duties

  • Perform minor and major repair of all buildings and equipment
  • Respond to guest maintenance requests efficiently and with immediacy
  • Perform preventive maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment

Job Requirements:

  • Self motivated, responsible, organized and task oriented
  • Able to communicate in English.
  • 1 Year of experience in building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair
  • Must have basic carpentry skills, plumbing, drywall and painting experience
  • Must have own accommodation.

Overnight Night Audit Agent

General: The Pinnacle Hotel Whistler, a unique boutique style property, is seeking for Overnight Night Audit agent who will serve as an ambassador for the Hotel. The individual must be a multi-functional individual who is driven to always exceed our guests’ expectations. - Competitive benefits and wages. - Assistance with BCPNP for those who qualify.

Duties

  • Provide courteous, prompt, professional and attentive guest service at all times whilst on the desk.
  • Cashiering duties including posting charges, handling an individual cash float, debit, credit cards and billing settlements.
  • Complete in detail of all duties assigned on the Night Audit’s Checklist
  • Answer and direct the multi-line telephone console calls in a professional and consistent manner responding to any inquiries.
  • Assist the front desk with reservations, handling calls, registration and departures when need arise
  • Conduct night security patrols and ensure they are being conducted on a regular basis

Job Requirements:

  • Self motivated, responsible, organized and task oriented.
  • Fluent in English. Proficiency of a second language would be an asset.
  • Must be able to work overnight alone from 11:00pm to 7:00am
  • Must have own accommodation.
  • Minimum one year working in a hotel environment in a hospitality related industry in a front office type position

Physical Demands:

  • Lifting, pulling – under 20 lbs, Carrying – over 20 lbs
  • Must be able to stand for an 8 hour shift
